PRODUCT REVIEW - Glutino Gluten Free Crackers

As some of you may know, I really dislike rice crackers. I'll admit I got a little rage-y when reviewing Blue Diamond Nut Thins, but I stand by my opinion. They're gross. Haven't tried them? Congrats, your mouth thanks you.

Anyways, now you can avoid the pain of rice crackers all together with these Glutino gluten free crackers. I tried the vegetable ones, and even though I didn't care for the flavor (taste's like they just put some italian seasoning in the dough), the texture is great. They're light, flaky, crunchy. Not as buttery as Ritz crackers, not as flimsy as Saltines. Kind of like the honor student child of the two.

They come in 5 flavors: Original, Cheddar (not so sure about these), Multigrain, Vegetable, and Table Crackers.

PRODUCT REVIEW - Gluten Free Popcorners

I've become very familiar with JetBlue's snack offerings over the year. But this one was new. Picture this: a tortilla chip made out of crushed popcorn. It's got the same addictive qualities of popcorn, but is more fulfilling like a tortilla chip. This is Popcorners. It's pretty damn close to perfection. And all 5 flavors are gluten free (sea salt, cheesy jalapeno. white cheddar, kettle, and butter).

You can definitely find these at regular stores, no need to book a flight just to try them out. They're crunchy, corn-y, salty but not too salty, and very flavorful. I'm not sure if you would dip them in salsa like you would a tortilla chip, but you can try it! Let me know if you come up with any interesting dips. Check out Popcorners website for fun recipes using Popcorners.

Happy snacking!

PRODUCT REVIEW - Blue Diamond Nut Thins

These are so much better than regular rice crackers. You know, these:

There's just something about the taste that makes me cringe. Similar effect to fingernails on a chalkboard. I can't really explain it. Maybe I was force-fed rice crackers as a child. I don't know.

But now there are these Blue Diamond Nut Thins, a whole line of easily accessible rice crackers that taste like NUTS!

It's really a genius combination: nuts and crackers. Think about it, what normally goes with crackers? Cheese, meats, cheesy spreads, the occasional vegetable. But never nuts! They'd just roll off. But with these crackers, nuts are ground up and incorporated into the cracker.

Also, there 8 different varieties of these crackers. Everything from plain "hint of salt" to "smokehouse" or "country ranch". Here's the website so you can check them out. They're pretty healthy also, the almond ones have 130 calories per serving and 3g of protein.

But, what I like about these most is that Blue Diamond states on their website that the crackers are produced in a facility that is certified by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. This means that an outside, nonprofit organization has supervised and inspected the facility to ensure that safe gf practices are in places. While it's impossible to be 100% sure that no cross contamination occurs, this certainly helps reduce that risk.

In other news, the vast majority of Blue Diamond products are gluten free. According to their website, only their "Jordan Almonds" and "Wasabi and Soy Sauce Almonds" contain gluten.

**Spoiler Alert: Bad Joke**

That's NUTS!!

PRODUCT REVIEW - Glutino Pretzels

My boyfriend Eric's favorite snack food in the whole world is pretzels and lemonade. The planet could be overtaken by zombies, we could be the only living humans left, and give this man a bag of pretzels and a glass of lemonade, and he'd be just fine.

Eric had almost given up on the thought of his perfect snack combo. Until one day, he went to New Jersey and came back with this snack...

Enter Glutino Pretzels

These are delicious! They are the perfect pretzel to bring on a picnic, throw in a lunch, or enjoy with a glass of lemonade. They are crunchy, salty, buttery, and satisfying. Not quite like the normal pretzel sticks that you can buy at a deli. The taste if nearly identical (slightly less wheat-y than traditional pretzels), but they are definitely more buttery, which is fantastic. Kind of like the buttery-ness that you would expect from a Ritz cracker.

Now, the only downside to these pretzels is that they are way overpriced. I remember when I was younger I could buy an individual bag of pretzels for $1, a family pack for $2 or $3.

These pretzels: an 8oz bag is $5, and a 14oz family pack is $8. They're very tasty, but you have to ration your pretzels.

Have you tried these pretzels? Leave a comment and let me know what you think!
