PRODUCT REVIEW - Blue Diamond Nut Thins

These are so much better than regular rice crackers. You know, these:

There's just something about the taste that makes me cringe. Similar effect to fingernails on a chalkboard. I can't really explain it. Maybe I was force-fed rice crackers as a child. I don't know.

But now there are these Blue Diamond Nut Thins, a whole line of easily accessible rice crackers that taste like NUTS!

It's really a genius combination: nuts and crackers. Think about it, what normally goes with crackers? Cheese, meats, cheesy spreads, the occasional vegetable. But never nuts! They'd just roll off. But with these crackers, nuts are ground up and incorporated into the cracker.

Also, there 8 different varieties of these crackers. Everything from plain "hint of salt" to "smokehouse" or "country ranch". Here's the website so you can check them out. They're pretty healthy also, the almond ones have 130 calories per serving and 3g of protein.

But, what I like about these most is that Blue Diamond states on their website that the crackers are produced in a facility that is certified by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. This means that an outside, nonprofit organization has supervised and inspected the facility to ensure that safe gf practices are in places. While it's impossible to be 100% sure that no cross contamination occurs, this certainly helps reduce that risk.

In other news, the vast majority of Blue Diamond products are gluten free. According to their website, only their "Jordan Almonds" and "Wasabi and Soy Sauce Almonds" contain gluten.

**Spoiler Alert: Bad Joke**

That's NUTS!!

Have you tried these crackers? Let me know what you think!

  1. I LOVE Nut Thins!! The only problem I have is that my gluten-eating husband has decided he likes them too, so now we are in competition!
