PRODUCT REVIEW - Canyon Bakehouse GF Focaccia

Recently I raved over this brand's hamburger buns, and I'm back to tell you about their focaccia!

This loaf of Canyon Bakehouse Rosemary and Thyme Focaccia cost me $5.49 and serves 8. I had really high expectations because of their awesome hamburger buns, and I hate to say it, but I was slightly disappointed. We sliced it in half "bagel-style" and toasted it for a few minutes, but it was still too chewy. Normally in a focaccia you'd expect something soft in the middle and crunchy around the edges, but this was more chewy all over. Next time I'm going to try toasting it a bit more to crunch it up.

That being said, the flavor of the bread was great! I could easily see this working as croutons if you cube it up and bake at a low temperature for a while. Not going to be a regular purchase, though.

  1. Canyon Bakehouse San Juan 7 Gain is my favorite bread. I also really like their hamburger buns. Unfortunately, I was also disappointed with their Focaccia. It was way too doughy. I was hoping for something lighter.
